Red Dot Award and Good Design Award for AILIS

In 2024, AILIS received prestigious awards in the world of design: Red Dot Award and Good Design Award. These accolades are proof that the early breast cancer detection system we’ve created combines high-quality design with functionality and care for women’s health, making it a potential trendsetter in healthcare protection.
 
 

Red Dot Award

 
The AILIS early breast cancer detection system received international recognition in the form of the Red Dot Design Award, regarded as the Oscar of design. The jury appreciated AILIS for its unique approach to design and its significant role in developing a research method that could contribute to solving global issues.
 
— “Winning the prestigious Red Dot competition has proven that small and agile companies can effectively compete with industry giants. By using artificial intelligence, our startups challenge the status quo and introduce groundbreaking innovations in the healthcare sector. We have shown that Poland is a country of innovation, where technologies can set new trends, while also focusing on design tailored to contemporary needs,” says Michał Matuszewski, the creator and co-founder of the system, CEO of AILIS.
 

Awards in the Good Design Competition

 
AILIS was also recognized in the “New Technologies” category in the Good Design competition and received a Special Award for the most innovative product of the year awarded by the Industrial Development Agency Foundation. The jury appreciated the extraordinary attention to detail and project quality, as well as the safety and functionality of the device itself and the provision of intimacy and comfort for women during examinations.
 
 
— “Our priority was to create an innovative device that encourages women to undergo regular screenings. The research and interviews we conducted worldwide allowed us to understand the expectations of users, as well as make improvements at the prototyping stage through UX research. Focusing on women’s experiences was key to our success,” believes Michał Matuszewski.

— “Our vision is a world where breast cancer is not a life-threatening condition. Early detection of cancer can give patients up to a 99% chance of recovery. By introducing our modern device to the market, we are creating a new paradigm for breast examinations and nearly instant result retrieval. The ability to conduct such examinations frequently, without negative consequences, in a comfortable and painless manner, outside of medical offices, is a future that is becoming a reality,” assures Michał Matuszewski.
